🌟 #ThrowbackThursday 🌟
Today, we’re taking a trip down memory lane to the 2008-2009 yearbook cover of Amity Primary Center! 📚✨This nostalgic cover features our incredible staff and the smiling faces of our K-2 students. The Amity Primary Center building is now home to the Berks Encore Center and River Rock Academy.
The yearbook also featured a bonus DVD insert with photos set to music sung by our very own APC students! 🎶💖

Yesterday, Mrs. Kennedy’s 3rd grade class took a hands-on approach to learning about Monarch butterflies by planting milkweed seeds outside! 🌱🦋 The students, who are currently observing Monarch caterpillars in their classroom, learned that these beautiful butterflies are almost endangered and only lay their eggs on milkweed. Eager to make a difference, they wrote to DBAIC Principal, Mr. Isselmann, requesting permission to plant milkweed at the school. This initiative will provide a crucial food source and breeding ground for the Monarchs. We hope that next year, the students will see the fruits of their efforts and witness the Monarchs thriving! 🌼🦋 #ButterflyConservation #HandsOnLearning #BooneProud

Why is milkweed important? Members of Mrs. Kennedy's 3rd grade class are finding out through books, videos, and their own experiment. The class, with the help of Ashley Griffith and Angela Owens, planted milkweed seeds today in the hopes that monarch butterflies will visit next year!

- Helps build friendships and social skills 🤝
- Ensures your child doesn’t miss out on critical learning 📖
Every school day counts, and every absence, excused or unexcused, can impact a student's ability to learn and grow. Your involvement makes a big difference! Let’s work together to support our students and make every school day a success.
