On April 19, 1969, Daniel Boone held its first-ever Junior-Senior Prom at the historic Sunnybrook Ballroom—a tradition that has stood the test of time. Just check out those classic white tuxedos, elegant long gloves, and timeless style!
Fast forward to today: our 2025 prom is happening this Saturday, May 3rd—once again at Sunnybrook! We can't wait to see how the fashions have evolved since that night 56 years ago. 👗✨🎶

🏆 Big Congrats to Owen Heimbach! 🧱
Owen took 1st place in Masonry at the SkillsUSA State Competition held in Hershey from April 2–4! He crushed a 20-minute written exam and completed a complex brick and block project in just 5 hours—something only 3 out of 10 participants managed to finish.
Thanks to his stellar performance, Owen is heading to Atlanta from July 23–28 to compete on the national stage against 44 other top contenders! There, he’ll take another written exam and tackle a 6-hour masonry project.
We’re incredibly proud of Owen and wish him the best as he prepares for Nationals and his future career at Zook Masonry. 👷♂️💪

As we count down to this year’s Freezin’ for a Reason event being held on Tuesday, April 22nd, let’s throw it back to where it all began—the OG event in 2022!
Daniel Boone hosted its first-ever Freezin’ for a Reason to support Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, and it was an absolute blast! Groups braved the icy spray from a fire truck—whether they donated or got soaked, everyone had a great time for a great cause! 💙
That first year, an impressive $3,585 was raised for Special Olympics. Let’s see if they can top it this year! 🌊💪

This incredible program, developed by Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC), empowers students to explore careers in manufacturing through peer-created videos. With 31 regional middle schools and manufacturers participating, our students stood out for their teamwork, enthusiasm, and creativity!
The awards ceremony, held on April 1st at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, was an inspiring night with 1,000 attendees celebrating the future of manufacturing.
