DBAHS Cross Country District Results
Congratulations to all of our athletes that participated @ the District Cross Country meet. Below are the results.
Girls (237 total runners):
Julia Leady - 65th place - 21:27
Natalee Kryman - 75th place - 21:50
Dani Ferrara - 97th place - 22:21
Emrie Watts - 105th place - 22:30
AnnaBeth Glass - 179th place - 24:14
The girls' team ran well. Three of our runners exceeded pre-race predictions from Central PA Runner. Our team was predicted to finish 25th out of 31 teams. Our girls finished in 16th place, one place behind Twin Valley and one place ahead of Wilson, who beat us at the Berks Conference Run. Great day for the girls!
Boys (249 total runners):
Daniel Shank - 81st place - 17:40
Caleb Eckstein - 234th place - 20:11
Brandon Longo - Did Not Finish
Daniel (sophomore) split time with soccer and still had a solid season, medaling at Counties and qualifying for Districts. Caleb qualified for his first District race as a senior and was a few seconds from a season best, in spite of very warm conditions. Brandon (freshman) qualified for Districts as a freshman and gained some valuable experience entering his sophomore year with a young team next fall.
The coaches would like to send their appreciation and love to the athletes and everyone who supported throughout the seasons.

Good Afternoon Blazer Learning Community,
I wanted to share a reminder to assist us with increasing the level of safety during dismissal. The front of the building is closed to through traffic from 2:24pm-2:30pm. This 6 minute window allows us a greater level of safety for our bus students and walkers who dismiss from door 1. This is a reminder that all parent pick ups should occur at door 36, the main gym entrance. Please note that we realize this causes parent pick up to be a bit slower than most would prefer, however the model provides our students with a high degree of safety when exiting the building. During this window of time, at approximately 2:28pm we pause all traffic on campus to allow our buses to exit via the driveway towards Route 345. This pause usually only lasts for 2 minutes. Throughout this daily process we ask for your assistance, patience, and diligence to the safety and security of our Blazers.
Thank you,

DBASD Weekend Events: October 20th - October 21st
Sending love and well wishes to all of our students this weekend!
