🚌✨ It's National School Bus Safety Week! ✨🚌 This week, we're sharing important tips to keep our students and families safe. Today's tip: Avoid the Danger Zone! The danger zone is a 10-12 foot area around the bus where the driver may not see you. Here’s how to stay safe: ✅ If you drop something near the bus, don’t try to pick it up! Alert the bus driver instead. 🚫 Never run after a missed bus. Once it’s moving, it’s never safe to approach. 👀 Always make eye contact with the bus driver before crossing or entering the bus. This ensures they see you and that it’s safe to move. 🛑 While waiting, stand back from the road until the bus has completely stopped. Let's work together to keep our kids safe! 📢 Exciting Announcement! 📚 We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Shane Cross as our new Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the Daniel Boone Area School District! 🎉 With over 18 years in public education, Mr. Cross has a wealth of experience as a teacher, technology integration specialist, and administrator. Most recently, he served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Southern Lehigh School District, where he focused on enhancing research-based, standards-aligned curriculum and instruction. Mr. Cross holds a Bachelor’s in Computers and Information Systems from King’s College, a Certificate in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Arcadia University. He is currently completing the Superintendent Certificate Program at Gwynedd Mercy University, demonstrating his commitment to educational excellence. Join us in welcoming Mr. Cross to our community!
