College planning can be an overwhelming process. We're here to assist you as you navigate through the college planning and application process. Our School Counseling Office will assist you as you plan for your post-secondary education. 

College Application Process

Your first task is identifying the right college for your interests. In Naviance, there are several tools that can help you find the college that matches your interests. College Board also has a matching component so when you register for the SAT’s make sure you fill out your interests accordingly, so College Board can match you to colleges that fit your interests.

Applying:

  • Option 1: The Common App – this option is for you if you are going to be applying to several schools. You can enter your information once, upload your essay, complete the specific college questions/essays, and submit your application via this helpful tool.

  • Option 2: Applying direct to the institution – this option is for you if you are applying to small schools that allow you to apply through their website. This can be a cheaper option as well because many times there is not a fee to apply via the website.

Requesting Transcripts and Letters of Recommendations:

Submit your SAT or ACT Test Scores:

Go to the websites for these tests and submit your scores to the schools to which you are applying.
