Grades 6-8
Through the Blazer Virtual Academy, the Daniel Boone Area School District offers a wide variety of online courses to satisfy student needs and specific situations. Students may choose to take all their courses online through Imagine Learning's Edgenuity or choose to take a blending of online courses and courses in our brick and mortar school.
Our program provides a high quality, accredited online program for grades 6-8. Our online courses are designed to help students at every level of the achievement spectrum—from struggling readers to high achievers. With a flexible online format and sophisticated performance tracking tools, our lessons are easily customized to each student’s skill level and can be adjusted on the fly for the best results.
The Virtual Academy allows students in grades 6-8 to access their courses from the comfort of their own home. Because our courses are online, you will experience a flexibility that the traditional, structured classroom environment cannot offer. Students access their courses from home, school, the public library, or anywhere they have Internet access.
Virtual, Asynchronous Learning for Flexible Schedules
Our Virtual Academy caters to the strengths of independent learners in grades 6-8 by offering a flexible asynchronous learning environment. This approach prioritizes student self-direction. Students access high-quality course materials and complete assignments on their own schedule, fostering a deep dive into subjects at their own pace. The asynchronous format allows for revisiting concepts as needed, solidifying understanding without the constraints of a set class time. This empowers students to manage their learning alongside other commitments and activities.
Synchronous Options Available
While this program prioritizes independent learning, we understand some students may prefer live interaction. Contact us to discuss incorporating synchronous learning options to complement your child's self-directed studies.
