Director of Technology
Mr. Scott Matz
The Office of Technology Services oversees and manages all Daniel Boone Area School District technology resources. DBASD embraces technology as a catalyst that expands our ability to establish, explore, and enhance connections integral to learning.
Our Director of Technology and the Technology Services team coordinate the maintenance of all technology systems in DBASD schools, including email, district websites, student and employee information systems, network infrastructure and security, and telecommunication systems. We collaborate with administrators, teachers, and students to find, implement, and support the best choices in technology to enhance classroom instruction.
Our department is organized into four main divisions:
Data Management
The Data Management division handles all aspects of student information systems. This includes maintaining accurate records, ensuring data privacy, and supporting state reporting requirements.
Infrastructure
The Infrastructure division is responsible for maintaining and upgrading our network infrastructure, including servers, wireless access points, and backup power systems. This team ensures that all technology systems are secure, reliable, and running smoothly.
Help Desk Services
The Help Desk Services division provides support to students, parents, and staff. They handle troubleshooting, technical assistance, and ensure that any technology issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Communications
The Communications division manages the district's digital communication platforms, including websites and social media. They ensure that information is effectively and efficiently disseminated to the school community.
