The Daniel Boone Area School District welcomes families' involvement with their child's education. To ensure the safety and security of our students and staff, we have established procedures that all visitors must follow when entering any of our school buildings. Please take a moment to review the information below to help make your visit smooth and efficient.
Scheduling Appointments
We ask that all visitors schedule their appointments in advance. This allows our staff to prepare for your arrival and minimize disruptions to the learning environment. You may schedule your appointment by contacting the specific school or department you plan to visit. Contact information for each school building can be found on our Staff Directory Page.
Arrival and Check-In
Upon arrival at the school building:
Check in at the Main Office: All visitors are required to report directly to the main office before proceeding anywhere within the building.
Present Valid Identification: Visitors must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or state issued ID). This ID will be scanned by our visitor management system, which enhances security and ensures all guests are properly logged.
Wear a Visitor Badge: After checking in, visitors will be issued a badge that must be worn at all times while on school grounds. Please return the badge to the office upon your departure.
Security Measures
For the safety of everyone:
No Unscheduled Visits: Outside of an emergency, vsitors who have not scheduled an appointment may be asked to return at a later time.
Limited Building Access: Visitors are granted access only to the areas relevant to their visit. If you need to visit multiple areas, please coordinate with the main office staff.
Student Pickup: If you are picking up a student for an early dismissal, please notify the office in advance. You will need to present your ID and sign the student out before they are released to you.
Safety and Cooperation
We appreciate your cooperation in following these procedures to ensure that our schools remain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors alike.
