Dear Daniel Boone Community,

As we kickoff this new year together, I want to extend a warm welcome back to each of you. The start of a new year is always filled with anticipation and energy, and this year is no exception. It’s a time to reconnect, reimagine, and recommit to the shared goal of providing our students with the very best educational experiences possible.

Our focus this year is on building stronger relationships with every student and our greater community. We believe that by fostering connections and working collaboratively, we can create a supportive environment where every student thrives.

I’m also thrilled to share that we will be guided by our newly developed strategic plan, which reflects our shared vision for excellence in education. This plan is a roadmap for innovation, growth, and success, and I am confident that together we will achieve great things.

The PA School Code requires an annual formal written performance assessment of the District Superintendent. The evaluation is comprised of six overall categories; Continuous Improvement Planning, Organizational Leadership, District Operations - Fiscal Management, Community, Human Resource Management, and Instruction / Student Achievement. The Daniel Boone Area School District Board of Directors conducted their evaluation of Superintendent Mr. Thomas Voelker on June 5, 2024 and concluded he has met the agreed-to objective performance standards for the 2023-2024 school year.
