Daniel Boone Area School District

Hello Daniel Boone Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the remaining weeks of summer! The Daniel Boone Area School District has been hard at work this summer, preparing for the upcoming school year! I would like to publicly thank the full team (custodians, technicians, maintenance, support staff, teachers, administrators, etc.) for their hard work making sure the district is ready for day 1 with our students!

To try to keep this letter concise, I’ll bullet the following important information:

  • Back-to-School Verification Information

    • If you have not updated your information within Infinite Campus, please do so before the start of the school year so we have accurate information in our system

    • You should have received an email on July 24 (CLICK HERE to see the contents of that email)

  • Transportation Information

    • The finishing touches are being applied to our busing routes

    • Busing information will go live in the Stopfinder app on Monday, August 19th

  • Strategic Plan

    • Much of the 2023-24 school year was spent evaluating our current systems, identifying issues, and prioritizing solutions

    • A formal, multiyear Strategic Plan has been developed to guide our district forward - aligning efforts toward a shared vision

      • More to come on this topic (too much for now)

  • Building Projects

    • HVAC repairs and/or replacement is being conducted at both the High School and Middle School

      • High School = The majority of the work will conclude before the start of the school year

      • Middle School = Some of the work (for a portion of the building) will continue into October/November

        • A schedule has been developed to be as minimally impactful as possible to the school

  • Pre-K Counts

    • In partnership with the BCIU, we are extremely excited to be offering a Pre-K classroom at Daniel Boone once again (completely grant funded)

While there are many other exciting projects and initiatives occurring in the district, these (listed above) were the ones I thought would be most beneficial to highlight at this time.
