#TBT to the Class of 1983 π
Straight from the yearbook: βFRIENDSβwe have made it! Our metamorphosis is completeβ¦β
The Class of 1983 captured the very heart of what high school is all about: friendship. From weekend hangouts to quiet talks, from laughter to tears, their reflections remind us that long after the tests and textbooks fade, itβs the friendships that last forever.
As we count down to graduation day for the Class of 2025, may they carry the same love, laughter, and lifelong connections into their next chapter. π«

π Blazer Legacy Spotlight: Lorraine Stagg π¬π
After more than 25 years of teaching science at Daniel Boone High School, Lorraine Stagg is closing the lab notebook and heading into a well-earned retirement β leaving behind a legacy filled with curiosity, chaos, and heart.
From dead rat dissections to skeleton jump scares, Lorraineβs science classroom was always full of energy (and maybe a bit of a smell!). Whether it was Jeff Berger moonwalking out of her classroom during a lab observation, stairwell munchkin ambushes by Ebling and Mentzer or Werley accidentally (on purpose) scaring her for the 100th time, she greeted it all with laughter, passion, and an unshakable love for teaching.
But Lorraineβs legacy goes far beyond memorable lab mishaps and laughs.
βMy students and my colleagues have had a profound impact on helping to shape the person I am today. Theyβve been an integral part of my life in so many ways. I treasure the friendships I have forged throughout the years, and the many wonderful people Iβve met in education β itβs been an incredible journey.β
That journey inspired her own daughter, now a senior at Kutztown University majoring in secondary English education, to follow in her footsteps.
Lorraine hopes her students always felt how much she cared, and took away something beyond just science:
βThereβs so much more in life to learn β be a lifelong learner. Be observers, ask questions, find answers, work hard at something you love. Most importantly, care about others.β
π¬ Her highlight reel? Dissections gone sideways, a classroom known for its unique smell, and countless joyful, meaningful moments with the colleagues and students whoβve meant so much over the years.
π In retirement, Lorraine looks forward to spending time with her grandchildren and family β and pretending to enjoy fishing with her husband. π£
Lorraine, thank you for the laughter, learning, and legacy. Your impact reaches far beyond the science lab.
