Not only did Chris take the time to greet his former teachers and staff, but he also made a huge impact by motivating our football team with his inspiring words. 📢 Meet Our New Assistant Director of Special Education, Mrs. Michelle Maynard! 🎉 We are thrilled to introduce Mrs. Maynard as our Assistant Director of Special Education! Mrs. Maynard's journey with us began in 2004 as a Paraeducator at the middle school. Since then, she has served as a Learning Support Teacher at both the Primary and Intermediate Centers, a district-wide Special Ed Learning Coach, and most recently as an IEP Facilitator for the district. She has also been an Academic Leader for the Special Education department, overseeing grades 6-12, and coordinator of our Extended School Year (ESY) program. Mrs. Maynard holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Grand Canyon University, a Master's in Instructional Media and Technology from Wilkes University, and completed the Special Education Supervisor program at Penn State University. She is certified in Orton Gillingham and Wilson Reading. Additionally, she has been a dedicated member of the SAP team and has completed SEL training with Tom Stecher. Mrs. Maynard's passion for special education and her commitment to our students make her the perfect fit for this role! 🌟 #MeetOurTeam # BooneProud

📢 Meet Mr. Rob Flowers, Director of Youth Development and Belonging! 🎉 Mr. Flowers, who has been a member of the Boone family since 2017, first joined us as the head high school football coach and left an indelible mark on our athletic program. In 2020, he also took on the role of Director of Community Relations and Equity Awareness for the district, where he has been a driving force in advancing our efforts toward diversity and equity. Mr. Flowers holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Kutztown University and a Master of Education from Widener University. He also holds a Home & School Visitor certification and is currently working on his Principal certification. In his new position at the middle school, Mr. Flowers is eager to build meaningful relationships with students and empower them to succeed, all while viewing challenges through an equitable lens.
