DBAMS Music Department: 8th Grade in the Parks On Friday, May 3rd, the 8th Grade Band and Chorus traveled to Hershey, PA to participate in the Music in the Parks Adjudication Festival. Both ensembles delivered their best performances of the year to receive strong feedback, "Excellent" ratings, and strong scores from the festival evaluators. 8th Grader, Amelia Shelgren, was also named as Outstanding Vocalist for her solo in the chorus performance. Following the competition, the students enjoyed beautiful weather while exploring Hersheypark during the afternoon hours before traveling back home! DBAHS Music Department: Tri-M Induction Ceremony On April 29th, the Daniel Boone HS Chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society welcomed 19 new members. The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program sponsored by the National Association for Music Education which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically, and it provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects. The induction ceremony was held at the MS and included several performances by returning members. #DBBlazers

DBAHS Tennis: Berks County Playoffs For the first time in program history the Daniel Boone Boys Tennis team is BCIAA Playoff bound! They finished division play with a record of 7-1 with key wins over defending champion Wilson and rival Exeter. The Boys tennis team's first ever playoff game will be Friday, April 26th @ 3:30. The location and time has not been determined yet. #DBBlazers
